Again the heavy pole is swung and pounds the ducks head whose bronze vibrations hum a souvenier shop greeting — Irashaimase. Walking to garden and temples slush clogs my wooden clogs schmoozin along beneath humbug sky haze Damp air breathes lifting the bubbles of his voice same little windbag close to death constantly ringing his roshi for more advice Sound of fluff on slanted tile roof I wake instantly out of lifelong sleep —Rip Van Winkle of Kyoto lips and tongue spontaneously exclaim: the world is truly round
